My Magazine

I have decided that my magazine is going to be aimed at both genders between the ages of 15 and 20. I have decided on this age range as it is similar to my age and I know what would look appealing to people of my age group with the same taste as me. The most popular choice was chart music when I questioned people, but just to widen the audience potential I am going to include a variety of music genres. This way it will appeal to everyone. Red is a colour that attracts both genders, so I am going to use red tones mixed with monochrome so it doesnt look over done or busy. I fill focus on these colours throughout so the magazine looks profesional. The majority of the results said that they prefer to look at images on a page than text, so I am not going to have any pages where there are no images at all. A mass of the people questioned said that the first thing they notice on a magazine front cover is the main image. So I will need an appealing main image so that it will draw in my target audience.

In total, I asked 10 people these questions the find out how I should set out my magazine. I will use these results to shape how my magazine looks, so that I know that it will appeal to my target audience.

I am going to make my magazine suitable for both genders.

I am focusing my magazine on chart music, as it was the most popular choice out of the people I asked.

I am going to give my magazine the colour scheme that is most recommended, red, black and white, I am using these because they are suitable for both genders and they are eye catching.

I asked this so I could find out whether to put more text on my magazine or more images. Judging by these results, the majority is with images so I will follow this up on my magazine.

This question will help me with ther date that I put on my magazine.

I have asked this question so that I can concentrate most on the most popular choice which would be the main image in this case.

Questionnaire

This is the questionnaire that I asked 10 people to fill in for my research and planning. I sent them out to a range of mixed age groups and I was given some very different answers by all the participants. I am going to use this questionnaire to determine how my magazine looks and the content it withholds.
